Go team go!
Hello this is us. A group of young students experimenting with the wonderful world of knitting.
We have just started this blog as a means to express our love of visual art treasures and to share our experience of knitting. As surface designers in the making, we are exploring different styles of knitting as well as the endless creative possibilities of knitting as an art form. We hope you enjoy our blog!
What motivates us to work in a group together is the sense of responsibility each one of us feels towards the other, and the challenges that accompany this. To work in a group can expose one’s weaknesses as well as highlight one’s strengths. It is a learning experience, about ourselves as well as those involved.

I love the finer details and the "little things".
Neat, organized chaos.
Rustic and french are my life inspirations!
I'm motivated to work as a group for this project because I realize that it's not just about me, there are others that rely on me and I don't like letting them down.
The knitting however is proving that practice makes perfect, that if you dedicate the time, results will show.
This group assignment has taught me to trust, trust others with the work, that its okay to allow others to help...
Fortunately our group has worked extremely well together, but if we happened to have a challenging member we would all talk about the issues and try work through them as a group.

Knitting is
an experience that takes one through a journey of transformation. Once one
becomes aware of this transformation a whole new perspective is born. For me,
knitting taught me to be patient and to finish a task as soon as possible,
through this practice it taught me to adopt this skill in other projects in my
life. Knitting is not something for the weak, it determines lots of effort,
focus and perseverance and as soon as a person steps in the shoes of a knitter,
they will understand what the requirements are to achieve a goal in life.

knitting is a test of my patience and my ability to deal with frustration. I am
enjoying the process and through the chaos there is a sense of calm that I'm beginning to feel. I generally feel that I work better on my own, but I do
acknowledge the importance of learning to work alongside others and i am
continuously learning more about myself and those around me. Challenging
ourselves is what we all need in order to move forward.i love the beauty and the sense of treasure i experience in finding things that have been discarded. i take these items home with me and shower them with love.

Working in a group has been an amazing experience and I've learned a lot about myself and other people. I now realize that commitment is important. We all need to be involved in this. We need to understand each other in order to communicate better and avoid conflict.
I find
it interesting that you can do so much more
with knitting than i thought. When i'm knitting i feel more relaxed.
