Knitting is really nothing more than pulling a series of loops through
loops. How you pull the loops — the direction of the needle, the order
in which you work the stitches, the colors you incorporate, and so on —
contributes to the wide variety of fabrics that you can create.

KEYS:
K – Knit
P – Purl
SL F– Slip Stich to
the front
SL B – Slip stich to

SL O – Slip stich

The Rib Stitch
Cast on 12 Stiches.
First row: K1; P1;
K1; P1 – to the end of row.
Second row: For the
Rib stich the second row will start with the opposite stich ended in the first
row.
i.e.: First row ends
in p, second row will start in k and vice versa.
The Stocking Stitch
Cast
on 12 Stitches.
First
row: K
Second
row: P
Repeat
and alternate through to end.
The Moss Stitch
Cast on 12 Stitches.
First row: K1; P1;
K1; P1 - to the end of row.
Second row: For the Moss
stich the second row will start with the same stich ended in the first row.
i.e.: First row ends in p, second row will start
with p and vice versa.
Beginners Cable
Cast on 12 Stiches.
First row: Purl whole
row.
Second row: P1; SL F;
P1; SL O and P; SL B; P1; SL O and P – Repeat to the end.
Third row and all
uneven rows: Repeat First.
Forth row and all
even rows: Repeat Second.
The Bow Tie Cable
Cast on 12 Stitches.
First row: Knit whole
row.
Second row: K1; SL F;
K1; SL O and K; SL B; K1; SL O and K- Repeat to the end.
Third row and all
uneven rows: Repeat First.
Forth row and all
even rows: Repeat Second.
The Sino Stitch
Cast on 11 Stitches.
First row: K row.
Second row: K2; YO twice; K2 together; K2; YO twice; K2 together

Checker Board
Cast on 12 Stitches.
First row: K3; P3; K3; P3.
Repeat this till Row 5.
Row 6: P3; K3; P3; K3.
Repeat till end.
Further Cabling
Cast
on 12 Stitches.
First
row: P4; K4; P4.
Repeat till row 4.
Row 5: P4; K2; S2 O F; K2; SL O; P4.
Row 6: Repeat first sequence.
Row 10: P4; K2; S2 O B; K2; SL O; P4.
Repeat till end.
The Christoffel Bobble
Cast
on 12 Stitches.
K
to the stich where you would want the bobble.
K
the stich and keep on left needle; YO and K same stich again, YO and K into
same stich third time again.
Turn
over.
K
the 5 bobble stiches.
Turn
over.
K
first 2 bobble stiches together; then place back on left needle.
Pass
the 3 stiches over separately ; over the K stich and then off your needle.
K
the remaining bobble stich, over to right needle.
